Olive Burl (without tracks)

Olive tree is known as the Tree of Life due to its benefits for the mankind from ancient times up to nowadays. Olive wood is very hard, strong and long lasting. Heartwood is a cream or yellowish brown, with darker brown wavy grains. The playing field is a combination of olive wood with wenge & mahogany points. 

This backgammon is handmade using the art of marquetry (also spelled as marqueterie) which is the art and craft of applying pieces of veneer to a structure to form decorative patterns and designs.
Our skillful staff use this method in order to create the interior design of the backgammon.
