Olive tree is known as the Tree of Life due to its benefits for the humankind from ancient times up to nowdays. Olive wood is very hard, strong and durable. Heartwood is a cream or yellowish brown, with darker brown wavy grains. The playing field is a combination of olive wood with wenge & mahogany points.
This backgammon is handmade using the art of marquetry (also spelled as marqueterie) which is the art and craft of applying pieces of veneer to a structure to form decorative patterns and designs.
Our skillful workers use this method in order to create the inside design of the backgammon.
